Golf grip and the effect on ball flight
As a golfer or someone interested in Golf, you will know some kind of procedure in how to grip a golf club correctly. However there are usually many opinions on the correct procedure. Instructors, friends, family, whoever cannot actually train you how to this. It all depends on your self-experience and the way you feel best comfortable. Here at Golf weekend Breaks we have compiled a few tips to guide you in how to grip the golf club so that it will have better affect on the ball flight.
Grip is very important when playing Golf, this is because this is the only control you have through your hands and this is the only way that you can hit the ball to get that perfect swing.
We all have different tendency in the way we do things and Golf is the same. Some of us tend to hook the golf ball. If you do this then try the following method:
· With the club in your hand, move both hands towards the left, now ensure your palms are facing, and you are unable to see your knuckles on your left hand.
This will help you to aim better and this way you will have a better grip, in golf jargon
this is often referred to as a ‘weak grip’.
On the other hand if you have a tendency to slice the golf ball, try the subsequent:
· Move your two hands towards the right so you are now able to see the top of one or two knuckles. Both of your pals should be facing each other, you may need to adjust your hand grip slightly to complete this. In Golf jargon, this is referred to as strong grip.
As a tip, the way in which the direction the ball will swing depends on your gip. A loose grip will usually make the ball go off to the left; a tight grip will make it go off to the right.
So there, it is a few pointers to help you. Try having a practice and see the effect on your ball flight. Happy Golfing!
